The road to Corbu goes into total rehabilitation

Work begins on the road to Corbu.

Mayor of Navodari, Florin Chelaru, signed the EXECUTION contract for the rehabilitation and modernization of the road to Corbu, the Midia-Năvodari Industrial Platform, an access road to the north of Constanţa County and the Danube Delta.


The contracting company is already working on the design side, and next month the machines will be brought in and work will begin.
The road will be rehabilitated and modernized on 4 lanes, at a length of 3840 m. Along the rehabilitated road will be provided new steps and new sidewalks and will be rebuilt the pluvial water collecting system.
There will be two-way bicycle tracks with a length of 7020 m, of which 3840 m are located parallel to the rehabilitated boulevard and the other 3180 m are arranged on the streets of Constanta, Randunelelor and Albinelor.
At the same time, 36 modern multimodal bus stations with bicycle parking and information panels will be installed in the city of Navodari.
The total value of the investment is 7,896,727.80 euros. The investment is financed by community funds, within the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Program.

Today at City Hall, we held a working meeting with the mayor Florin Chelaru Yulyan Naydenov and his counterpart, Mayor of Silistra (Bulgaria) and a delegation from the Municipality of Silistra.

At this meeting they were discussed issues of development of cities Năvodari and Silistra, especially about the project I put together for road rehabilitation to Corbu and arrangement of 36 stations, its execution scheduled to start early next year .

Today I received another very good news as regards the making of investments really important for the city of Năvodari.

Today, it has been notified to the approval of financing for the project which envisages modernization of the road leading to the town Corbu, this being communicated upon receipt of the Monitoring Committee for financing projects submitted under the Cross Border Cooperation Program Romania – Bulgaria – Interreg VA.
